Joseph Frères (Ami and Emile Joseph) (1883–1885)

“For about ten years, the prosperous years of the large music boxes, some members of the Joseph family were adventurous enough to set up the Ami and Emile Joseph company on 1st January 1883, to make watches and music boxes.” (Piguet 2004, p. 238)

Ami Joseph & Fils (son Arthur Joseph) (1885–1891)

Two years later, after the death of his brother, Ami Joseph took over the business together with his son Arthur.” (Piguet 2004, p. 238)

Arthur, Edouard and César Joseph (1891–1894)

On 16th March 1891, Arthur was joined by his two brothers Edouard and César, for their father had passed away not so long ago. They tried to carry on the paternal activities but the business did not last long and on 3rd August 1894, just before the decline of the music box industry, the Joseph brothers dissolved their partnership. Nothing exists of the music boxes and watches they created.” (Piguet 2004, p. 238)
