Christopher (the elder) Pinchbeck

A maker of musical clocks, automatic organs and mechanical singing birds who died in 1732. His son, Christopher the younger, also made musical clocks and watches and is better known for his invention of the so-called Pinchbeck alloy in 1832-66, and as a maker of two fine clocks in Buckingham Palace.
