Beautiful music box housed in large, impressive case that measures 40" long, 18" deep, 13 1/2" tall. Magnificant case is nicely appointed with highly figured burled inserts on all 4 sides and top. Cabine has two, large, decorative handles. The top is also nicely appointed with an elaborate inlay of exotic woods in the center. The mechanism, with its massive 24" long, 3" diameter cylinder plays 8 tunes. The tune titles are listed on the original title card, which is attached to inside of the cover. The combs have no broken teeth or rust. The mechanism winds, runs, plays well and sounds good. Machine has its original winding crank. The mechanism appears to have been completely gone over recently, as well as complete, professional restoration of cabinet inside and out. ©Private ownershop
