N° 939

N° 5067

A mottled tortoiseshell-cased musical snuffbox playing two airs, by Aubert & fils, Ser.-N° 5067, with stamped single-section comb on plain brass bedplate, under horn cover, in the mottled case with consistent and good semi-transparent anomalies, gold cartouche to lid, start/stop and change/repeat controls to front, (endless broken) – 3.5/8in. (8.5cm) wide, the cylinder 2.3/8in. (6cm)

Despite the broken endless, a careful manual turn reveals outstanding music. This is a very good movement indeed
